Your customers stopped using Google the way they used to. They ask ChatGPT for restaurant recommendations. They query Perplexity about local services. Google's AI now answers 16% of searches directly, no website clicks needed [1].

The numbers tell the story. Semrush research shows LLM traffic will overtake traditional Google search by end of 2027 [2]. Meanwhile, 58% of people already use AI tools instead of search engines when looking for products and services [3]. Stack Overflow lost 18% of visitors after ChatGPT launched because developers get coding answers directly from AI [4].

What I find the most fascinating is that NerdWallet's revenue grew 35% despite 20% less website traffic. They cracked the code [5]. When AI tools answer questions about personal finance, NerdWallet gets quoted as the expert source. Their expertise reaches customers without anyone clicking through to their site.

You face a choice. Adapt to where your customers search for information, or become invisible to them.
